Allows us to heat-treat carbon and alloy tool steel shafts up to 48” long.

Produces bainite or ausferrite in steel and ductile iron (ADI) depending on the material processed.

A heat treatment technique used to increase the yield strength of malleable materials. In superalloys, it is known to cause yield strength anomaly, providing excellent high-temperature strength.

Austenite is transformed to martensite by step quenching in molten salt, at a rate fast enough to avoid the formation of ferrite, pearlite, or bainite.
